Phase 2: Deep foundation piling
Piling works are now underway, forming the base for long-term strength and stability.
The structural foundation of BA HANGAR is built on a system of CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) piles - a modern deep foundation method used for high-load infrastructure projects. Drilling rigs with a height of up to 24 meters operate with precision just below the airport's protected airspace. Using advanced technology, the auger drills deep into the subsoil while simultaneously filling the shaft with concrete. Immediately after, a reinforced steel cage is inserted into the still-wet concrete to complete each pile.
This method ensures minimal vibration, high load-bearing capacity, and long-term structural integrity - reflecting the engineering standards behind one of the most sophisticated hangars in Central Europe.
